7 Months

Oh how time has flown by... I can't believe this chatty, happy, sitting up all by herself, wanting to crawl little girl used to be my teeny tiny little baby. And seeing my nephew in all his ever-moving state, with his "all done"s, his high fives and his first steps (!), I can't wait to see what's coming next! Crawling is definitely the next big milestone, and boy is she working on it. She can get on her hands and knees, and then she does the rock... back and forth, back and forth, with determination, looking ahead to where she wants to go. Her lack of crawling hasn't slowed her down in the slightest though, because she can get to anything she desires with a planned series of rolls and belly turns. And if all else fails, a little bark will get someone to pick her up and take her to what she wants. There is never a want for eager arms to hold our cheerful girl. She has a (somewhat surprisingly) observant and protective brother, a loving and warm sister, two parents that adore her, and Grammys, Grandmas, Grandpas, Great-Gamoos and Aunties to boot. This girl is by no means starved for attention. And speaking of attention, we have constantly fought with keeping the puppies from overrunning her with their excitement, and we finally let Phoebe sit and "play" with Olive, who discovered that keeping a wide berth of the weird hairless dog that rolls on the floor is actually a good idea. Phoebe is now in love with the puppies, and squeals with delight when they lick her hands with their soft tongues, and tries to put their long ears in her mouth. Such a sweet curious girl...
